Dirty Dogs Wanted!
This past November, our very own Dr. Flavia Zorgniotti, from Phoenix Veterinary Hospital in Wayland, MA held a lecture discussing acupuncture for pets. We were very excited how well received the lecture was and even more excited about Wicked Local's coverage of the event.
February is Pet Dental Health Month so we wanted to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of keeping up with the dental health of our furry family members. Luckily for us, we recently had a veterinary dental specialist join our Best Friends family. His name is Dr. Gary Goldstein and, not only is he our new Chief Medical Officer, he is a Fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry and is certified in Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery.
Are you ready for some football? Yeah you are, and so are we! We get so excited for the Super Bowl each year that we throw our very own Doggy Bowl parties in each of our Doggy Day Camps across the country. Our staff members turn into referees and coaches for the day and our Camp rooms transform into football stadiums; Camp parents turn into cheerleaders and our Doggy Day Campers become MVPs!
Best Friends professional Trainers recommend that you begin training your dog as soon as he arrives in your home. This will avoid irksome problems and let your new pooch know what’s expected of him.
January 22nd is National Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day! In celebration of this feline holiday, the Dog Dish writers asked one of our staff kitties, Lulu Kitty, to sit down for an interview with us (between naps of course), and ask us some of the more pressing questions she has about life as the world’s most pampered house cat.
A New Year is on the way and the possibilities are endless!! 2014 has flown by and we are so excited to start another year. We hope to see all of our old friends and meet some new ones too! To you and your family, have a safe & happy New Year, from everyone here at Best Friends Total Pet Care!
Thanksgiving is a time of gratitude and sharing food and fun with our family and friends. Of course we would want to include our furry family members in the merriment! When it comes to enjoying this Thanksgiving with our pets though, we have to be very careful to not accidentally make them ill.
A huge thanks to everyone who entered our Best Friends #PetScares, Halloween Instagram Photo Contest! It was a big hit and we are thrilled with ALL of the entries. In fact, the judges had such a hard time narrowing down a top three that they decided to name five winners instead. The lucky five will receive a $50 gift certificate to use at any Best Friends Pet Care center or Veterinary Hospital.
